PRAYERS

Lord, make me an instrument of Thy peace;
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
Where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not
so much seek to be consoled as to console;
To be understood as to understand;
To be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive,
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
- St. Francis of Assisi
13th Century, Italy

Prayer is the key to open a door. Where the door leads,
what is found, how long it takes, only matter to the one
who prays. It is a private conversation with God, and the
words are not as important as the moment of reflection
afterwards, when the person listens. For it is within the
stillness that the true meaning of life is found. To pause
in the midst of our day and be aware of the magic of God's
Presence, is to bring forth the Holy Spirit within us all.

This is what I call The Universal Life Force, or the
Omnipotent Natural Energy, the ONE.

Some of my favorite Native American voices:

It does not require many words to speak the truth.
- Chief Joseph

What is life? It is the flash of a firefly in the night...
it is the little shadow which runs across the grass
and loses itself in the sunset.
- Crowfoot

O Great Spirit, help me never judge another until
I have walked two weeks in their moccasins.
- Edwin Laughing Fox

We are part of the earth, and it is part of us.
This we know. The earth does not belong to us.
We belong to the earth.
- Chief Sealth

Hot as fire, solid as earth, light as air, refreshing
as water. We know these things, we are these and more.
The "more" is spirit....heart and soul, mind over matter,
life after death. It is the spark of imagination and the
beauty of inspiration; it is love, hope and faith.

Our deepest needs for healing and the ability to expand
our conscious are buoyed by the prayer circle. When we
join our thoughts in sacred harmony, knowledge of the
Divine comes forth.
Science has proven the connections between happiness
and health, just as various sounds have a different
ripple effect on water. The electro-magnetic energy
fields known as the aura require cleansing and energizing,
re-alignment, focusing, balancing to be most effective.
Sincere prayer brings God's Blessing of Unconditional Love.

Meditation, combined with exercise or relaxation techniques,
can be enhanced by our close association with others.
Whatever religious path a person may choose, a totem animal
may be of great assistance in reaching the ultimate goal of
Oneness or Unity. The mere image of a horse evokes strong
feelings within us all, the Unicorn has the power to heal,
winged Pegasus can carry us to lofty heights.

The Church of the Horse emphasizes complete religious freedom,
and the willingness to do that which is right. It awaits
the positive goodwill of the virtual congregation to create
a physical space, a retreat for further enlightenment, a
church where you can bring your horses to assist in the process.
The time has come.
